If you are a parent of a school-going child, it is no surprise if your child’s coping mechanism in school should dominate your thoughts daily, for we all know how tough school can get these days for students. There is homework to think about, as well as academic performance, and of course, not to mention, exams! For most parents, enrolling their child for tuition classes makes the most sense, for the extra coaching will be useful.
Families living in Kampar are quite thankful to one particular establishment, namely Nice Education. Founded by Ms Aneesia Chong, Nice Education (renamed from Kampar Education) takes up six units in a three-storey shop lot. The iconic centre is sought after by families who take their children’s academics seriously. Whether it is to reinforce the lessons taught in school, or help with their school homework, or to overcome their weaknesses in certain subjects, Nice Education is reputed to be of immense help towards all its attending students.
When school children fall behind in their studies due to poor understanding of lessons, their self esteem and self-confidence tend to suffer. They dread conversations about school work and also tend to avoid talking about subjects they are weak in. Tuition centres exist for a reason, and that is to help school children excel in the subjects taught in school, particularly if there are subjects that they are not doing well in. Just look around you in the housing area you live in, and there is bound to be at least one such centre for parents to send their kids to. But please note, dear parents, that not all tuition centres are the same!
Nice Education provides one of the highest quality tuition and coaching in school subjects for primary and secondary school children. The 12 teachers employed here at the Kampar branch are degree holders in various fields, and they all have a passion for teaching. Ms Aneesia, who is no less passionate in her profession, added, “It is significantly important for teachers to love their job, for only then will we do right by our students. Lessons have to be interesting and memorable, so much so that our students feel that they can’t wait to find out more. All these will require effort on our part, which is why I need to filter my choices of teachers for my centre, and map out our lesson plans carefully too,” she graciously shared with Kiddy123.
Ms Aneesia believes that children will be more open to learning if they are having fun. In fact, she has also taken the initiative to look up one of the world’s best education system, which is at Finland, and she takes important cues from the Finnish to ensure that her students at Nice Education are appropriately inspired to learn and excel in all their school subjects, especially the subjects that they are not doing well in.
For those who aren’t aware of this fact, Finland has, easily, the world’s top performing education system which never fails to produce highly capable graduates who excel not only academically, but emotionally and socially as well. “By keeping lessons fun, interactive and entertaining, students will naturally be able to retain all that has been taught to them. This will prove invaluable to them when they are in school, and of course, during their exams too,” she generously shared with us during a recent interview.
Subjects covered at Nice Education for Primary school students are Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Science, and Mathematics. Secondary school students on the other hand will be coached in all of the above as well as in History, Geography, as well as Design & Technology (RBT).
When asked how badly was her centre affected by the pandemic, we were pleasantly surprised to hear that close to 90% of her classes proceeded as usual throughout the pandemic due to the efficiency of her team in conducting the necessary online lessons. Again, this kind of success can only be attributed to a level of commitment, responsibility and passion shown by Ms Aneesia and her team towards their jobs.
In bringing everyone together and promoting a sense of unity among her students, regular get-togethers are arranged in conjunction with occasions such as birthdays, celebrations, pre-holiday parties, etc.! Much akin to class parties, these gatherings spell fun for everyone - with delicious foods and drinks, as well as entertaining games, songs, dances, and more! Ms Aneesia regards these regular parties as essential for students as well as teachers to tighten friendship bonds and promote unity among the dozens of students in her centre!
The future looks bright for Nice Education, to say the least, with a new branch about to open its doors this March in Taiping, Perak. Plans are also underway for branches to open up in Johor and Selangor as well, with one already running in Klang.
