Parenting a child with special needs can be tough. You’re often juggling therapy appointments, dealing with school challenges, and trying to find the right resources to support your child.
That’s why Golden Babies Care Centre in Bandar Kinrara, Puchong aims to provide a supportive environment for special needs children. Opened in mid-2024, this centre registered under the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia (JKM) is ideal for families looking for a place with premium, full-day educational and care services, where their kids can feel supported, learn, and thrive together with their peers.
The centre caters to children aged two to twelve years old, focusing on those with autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), social challenges, and behaviour management issues.
Golden Babies Care Centre was founded by a dedicated mum who knows firsthand the challenges of raising children.
After being a homemaker for over a decade, she saw a gap in resources for special needs kids in Bandar Kinrara, and decided to create a space where they would get the specialised care and education they deserve. This personal commitment is what makes Golden Babies a unique and nurturing place for children and their families.
At Golden Babies Care Centre, emphasis is given on individualised care. The Early Intervention Programme (EIP) is designed to prepare children to face the world confidently, teaching them essential life skills such as self-care, communication, and social interaction.
Other highlights here include ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) therapy, play therapy, social groups, and behaviour intervention, all tailored to each child’s unique abilities and needs.
Social integration is a big part of the centre’s focus, as it recognises the importance of equipping children with the necessary skills to participate in group activities. The goal is to be able to integrate them into kindergarten for typical children and get them used to formal school settings.
Golden Babies Care Centre is equipped with various facilities that cater to the developmental needs of special needs children. The centre features four small rooms and two larger rooms, which are used to help children adjust to different group settings and noise levels.
This thoughtful design helps children acclimate to both small and larger group interactions gradually, ensuring they are comfortable and ready to engage.
A colourful indoor playground, complete with a climbing wall, provides a safe space for children to play and develop their motor skills.
Meanwhile, flexible classroom setups allow for natural environmental training. Children are not confined to four walls but will move around the centre and work in different spaces according to their respective therapy or educational needs.
Of course, security and cleanliness are paramount. Classrooms and common areas are cleaned thoroughly, materials are sanitised daily, and the centre is also equipped with CCTVs for safety.
One of Golden Babies Care Centre’s standout features is that it incorporates real-world learning experiences into its educational approach.
Children are taken on trips to nearby places like the grocery store, barber shop, and restaurants, teaching them practical life skills in a supervised manner. They may be tasked with buying groceries or other items on their own. This hands-on approach helps children to gain confidence and independence in their everyday lives.
As part of their commitment to providing supportive care for the local community, the centre only charges a one-off registration fee and a yearly resource fee, in addition to its monthly fees. No deposit is required. This allows parents the freedom to choose what’s best for their children, without having to worry about binding contracts. Parents are also regularly updated on their child’s progress through a dedicated app.
Golden Babies Care Centre is more than just a place for special needs children to receive care; it is a community hub that promotes growth, learning, and social integration.
The centre plans to continue expanding its services, including regular extracurricular activities and ongoing staff training to stay abreast with the latest developments in special education.
