Young Thinkers is an established preschool that promotes education using the Montessori philosophy and method for children ages 2 to 6 years old since 2002. At Young Thinkers, the children and the teaching staff are like a big extended family. Completely at-ease with the surroundings, the children are free to be themselves which makes learning fun and enjoyable.

The Montessori programme offers a nurturing, non-competitive learning environment which aims to meet the individual needs of a child in his physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.
The classroom is ordered and well planned.
It is not over-crowded and over-stimulating. Physical, intellectual social freedom is encouraged. Everything is child sized and all the activities are within reach to allow freedom of choice. The materials stimulate the curiosity of the children and invite them to learn through discovery, guided by their interest and readiness.
The teacher observes the individual interests and needs of each child.
As a result of her observation, she selects and makes available the appropriate learning materials. She demonstrates the correct use of the materials, guiding the children’s learning and helping them develop independence, concentration, self-motivation and self-discipline. The child’s progress is carefully observed and recorded.
Through working independently with a wide variety of materials available, the children learn to make choices, challenge themselves and develop strategies for problem solving. The materials are “hands-on”, concrete models of abstract concepts which combine thinking with action and experimentation. They are designed to help the child learn how to learn.
The children are guided in their learning. The environment helps in the development of their independence, concentration, self-motivation and self-discipline. They achieve competence in a variety of skills thus promoting a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for learning.
The Montessori Method is not just a means to teach children intellectual accomplishments. The purpose of Montessori is to aid the formation of people – the development of the child to adulthood.
Montessori believed that education must help “life”. The habits and skills which a child develops in a Montessori class are good for a lifetime. They help him work more efficiently, to observe more carefully and to concentrate more effectively.
My daughter loves going to school everyday and I can see her positive development in motor skills, art & craft skills, sensorial knowledge, language, even phonetic reading and numbers, most importantly, her practical life discipline.

Our experience at Young Thinkers over the past 2 years has been amazing. The dedication of the teachers, love and support from all the staff and management has surpassed our expectations – A great school, great staff and great experience!

Adam is my third little Young Thinker, and he loves going to school. The teachers are caring and responsive, and Marisa is like a second ‘mom’ to the kids. I recommend Young Thinkers to any parent hoping for a fulfilling time for their child.

I was very fortunate to have been introduced to Young Thinkers back in 2012 when I was looking for a preschool for my firstborn. My son thoroughly enjoyed his learning and Montessori experience here and the aunties did very well to equip him for school. Naturally, it only makes sense that we would want our second-born to continue in this lovely little school.

I wanted Dylan to learn to socialize with other children in a cozy little staff. The staff made Dylan’s adjustment at the early days such a breeze. 2 years on, Dylan is not only well liked by his friends but doing very well academically.

Zafran started with Young Thinkers even before he turned 2 years and has gained a lot thanks to all his friendly and committed teachers and staff. YT provides the right learning environment for him. It is a very warm, relaxed and discipline. The children are also constantly engaged with lots of fun and creative activities.

When I walked into Young Thinkers the very first time after visiting a few preschools in the neighbourhood, I immediately knew that this is the school I wanted for Emily. The warmth and caring atmosphere made you feel like a big family. Emily enjoys her school life so much that she looks forward to coming to school everyday.

Our girls have always loved Young Thinkers. All of them started at the tender age of 2. It was important for us to send our girls to a school with a loving environment – An extension from home. They always look forward to going back to visit their teachers.

YT has been a very warm place since the days we were evaluating a place to send our kids. The personal touches and the respect that the educators gave our children were very endearing. We loved the themes selected for the year and they have been exposed to much learning through the sense of touch. I would recommend for other parents, because YT does feel like home – i.e. Safe, warm and loving place!

Kaydon loves this school. He loves his friends and teachers here. He has improved his social and knowledge skill with the help of the teachers. Kaydon enjoys all the activities and talks about school i.e. what he does at school daily. He is happy at school.
