World Forum Pre-Conference: Men in Early Childhood

The World Forum’s Working Group on Men in Early Care and Education is dedicated to supporting men in the profession, raising awareness of the need for more male educators, and building a strong global network of advocates.

Following our successful 2024 event in Vancouver, we are excited to host a full-day session in Kuala Lumpur, on 13 April 2026. This event brings together local teachers and international delegates to discuss how we can create a more gender-balanced workforce in early childhood services.

Our Goals for the Day:
Understanding the Gap: Discussing why fewer men choose careers in early childhood education.

Breaking Stereotypes: Exploring the cultural and systemic changes needed to move past gender roles.

Finding Solutions: Looking at what is already working around the world and how we can take bold steps forward.
