For more than a dozen years, Strawberry Wonderland has been helping young children build strong foundations for lifelong learning under the leadership of Madam Tan, a passionate educator with a masterβs degree in early childhood education and a mother of three. Believing that the early years play a vital role in shaping a child’s future, the awards-winning preschool partners closely with families to unlock every child’s potential through quality education and meaningful experiences.
The name Strawberry Wonderland reflects the school’s vision. Just like strawberries, children are full of sweetness, growth, and joy. “Wonderland” represents a safe, happy, and exciting environment where every child is encouraged to explore, discover, and develop with confidence. Together, they embody the school’s commitment to nurturing children in a place where learning is both purposeful and enjoyable.
Holistic Learning Journey for Every Child
The school’s well-structured curriculum supports children’s intellectual, social, emotional, and character development, helping them grow into confident, independent learners with a lifelong love for learning.
Aligned with Malaysia’s latest Kurikulum Prasekolah 2026 (KP2026), the programme incorporates active learning experiences that encourage communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and strong moral values. Teachers also place significant emphasis on cultivating reading habits from an early age, recognising that literacy forms the foundation of future learning success.
Children benefit from a comprehensive programme that develops:
- Literacy, numeracy, science, art, music, and self-help skills
- Language proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin
- Brain development and positive character building
- Public speaking and communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Independence and leadership
- Social development, mind mapping, and physical coordination
- Critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
These skills are nurtured through engaging daily routines that are play-based, hands-on, and meaningful. Without relying on classroom instruction, children are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, collaborate with peers, and learn through real-life experiences, making learning enjoyable while building confidence and curiosity.
Preparing Children for Primary School and Beyond
Preparing children for primary school has always been one of Strawberry Wonderland’s core strengths. The curriculum provides age-appropriate academic learning while developing the emotional maturity, social skills, and independence needed for a successful transition into formal education.
With the introduction of Malaysia’s optional early entry into Standard 1 at age six, the school continues to support families by carefully monitoring each child’s readiness. Teachers work closely with parents to ensure children are academically, emotionally, and socially prepared before taking the next step, providing additional guidance whenever necessary.
More importantly, Strawberry Wonderland believes that true success is not measured solely by academic achievement. Instead, the school strives to nurture children who are confident, resilient, responsible, kind, and eager to keep learning throughout their lives.
Passionate Teachers Who Make the Difference
One of Strawberry Wonderland’s greatest strengths lies in its dedicated team of educators. Beyond academic qualifications, the school looks for teachers with integrity, compassion, positive attitudes, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Collaboration is a key part of the school’s culture. Strong teamwork among teachers ensures consistency in teaching quality and creates a supportive environment where every child receives the attention and encouragement they need.
Professional development is equally important. Teachers regularly participate in workshops, training programmes, and sharing sessions to enhance their teaching practices, stay updated with the latest educational developments, and continuously improve the learning experiences they provide.
Inspiring Environment that Encourages Exploration
Both the indoor and outdoor environments are thoughtfully designed to spark children’s curiosity and support holistic development. Bright, well-organised classrooms invite children to explore, create, and engage in meaningful learning activities independently and with friends.
Outside, the playground offers valuable opportunities for children to run, climb, balance, and strengthen their gross motor skills while enjoying active play in a safe environment. Together, these learning spaces encourage exploration, creativity, confidence, and physical development.
Beyond daily classroom learning, children also participate in concerts, sports days, educational trips, festive celebrations, graduation ceremonies, holiday programmes, and other enriching activities that broaden their experiences while making learning memorable and enjoyable.
Strong Partnership with Parents
The preschool believes that parents are essential partners in every child’s educational journey. Open communication between teachers and families ensures children receive consistent support both at school and at home.
Parents are kept informed through regular progress updates, parent-teacher meetings, school communication platforms, and daily interactions. They are also encouraged to take part in school events throughout the year, including Family Day, Sports Day, concerts, graduation ceremonies, festive celebrations, educational trips, and various community activities, so that families can celebrate their children’s growth together.
Safety, Care, and Well-Being
Children’s well-being is everything to Strawberry Wonderland. The school maintains child-friendly classrooms, regular cleaning and sanitisation procedures, and secure safety practices to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for every child.
Teachers closely monitor children’s well-being throughout the day while maintaining high standards of hygiene. Nutritious meals are carefully prepared with attention to food safety and balanced nutrition to support healthy growth and development. CCTV surveillance and secure drop-off and pick-up procedures further provide parents with peace of mind.
Looking Ahead
As early childhood education evolves, Strawberry Wonderland is strengthening its curriculum, investing in teacher development, and offering innovative learning experiences in partnership with families.
With its caring educators, holistic curriculum, and nurturing environment, the school prepares children aged 2.5 to 6 years to thrive in primary school and beyond. Parents are encouraged to visit Strawberry Wonderland and discover how it can support their child’s learning journey.
