Applications Now Open Nationwide

Registration for the 2027 intake of Tabika Perpaduan is now open, offering parents an opportunity to enrol their children in a government-supported preschool programme.

Minister of National Unity Aaron Ago Dagang announced that applications can be submitted online from March 15 to August 31, 2026.

Focus on Holistic Early Childhood Development

Tabika Perpaduan provides structured preschool education aimed at preparing children for entry into Primary One.

Beginning in 2026, the programme will adopt the 2026 Preschool Curriculum, which focuses on holistic development  including cognitive growth, emotional well-being, character building, as well as unity and national values.

Aaron said the centres continue to play an important role in early education while fostering unity among children from diverse backgrounds.

Wide Reach Across the Country

Currently, there are 1,781 Tabika Perpaduan centres nationwide, serving a total of 34,817 children.

The programme is open to Malaysian children aged four to six who possess a birth certificate and MyKad. Priority will be given to applicants living or whose parents work within a 10km radius of the selected centre.

Strengthening Through Long-Term Education Plan

Tabika Perpaduan is being further developed under the Tabika Perpaduan Early Childhood Education Plan 2021–2030, a strategic initiative led by the Ministry of National Unity Malaysia.

The plan aims to enhance early childhood education by strengthening curriculum quality, improving teaching methods, supporting teacher professional development and reinforcing governance and monitoring systems.

Six Key Focus Areas

According to Aaron, the initiative is guided by six main pillars:

  • Strengthening nationhood, unity and moral values in the curriculum
  • Enhancing teacher professionalism
  • Expanding community collaboration
  • Improving teaching and learning approaches
  • Strengthening governance
  • Empowering monitoring and evaluation systems

Encouraging Parents to Apply

Aaron encouraged parents and guardians to take advantage of the programme, highlighting its emphasis on unity, mutual respect and harmony in a multicultural environment.

He said the initiative aims not only to nurture children’s potential, but also to develop a generation that values national identity and practices positive values in everyday life.
