In the tranquillity of Bukit Damansara, Kitakids Clubhouse is quietly reshaping what childcare means for today’s working families. It’s not your average daycare, tuition centre, or preschool. It’s an after-school programme care concept, an inspired hybrid designed to meet the emotional, educational, and practical needs of both children and parents.
Kitakids Clubhouse is the first of its kind under the trusted Kitakids umbrella, offering an experience that blends academic support, nurturing routines, and family-friendly amenities. Here, childhood is honoured, parents are supported, and learning continues well beyond the classroom walls.
Principal Deepti Gonsalves, a pioneer educator with over a decade of experience in early childhood education stated that “We wanted to build a space where children can continue to grow holistically, and where parents can finally take a breath knowing their children are well taken care of in every way.”
Unlike the other Kitakids preschool branches known for their strong early childhood curriculum, Kitakids Clubhouse offers something even more holistic, an after-school programme for both preschoolers and primary school children. It’s a beautifully curated environment where children come after school to shower, eat, rest, learn, play, and most importantly, feel “Joyful. Genuine. Playful.”
“Many parents told us how hard it is to balance work and time with their children,” shares Principal Deepti Gonsalves, the founding team member and the heartbeat behind the Clubhouse. “When children come here after school, they’re fed, cleaned, helped with their homework. So, when parents fetch them in the evening, all that’s left is quality bonding time.”
This isn’t an exaggeration—it’s a full ecosystem that supports families. The Clubhouse picks children up from school, provides healthy meals, offers academic reinforcement, and makes room for downtime and enrichment. Everything is housed in a warm, inviting, home-style setting that feels more like visiting your favourite cousin’s house than attending a centre.
One of the most thoughtful aspects of Kitakids Clubhouse is how it considers the needs of the entire family. It’s designed not just for children, but for working parents, younger siblings, and even grandparents.
“It’s about building a village,” says Deepti. “We want families to feel that this is their space too—not just somewhere to drop their child off.” The environment itself reflects this ethos of calmness, homely, and naturistic. With bird songs in the morning, warm wooden interiors, and open-ended play areas, the Clubhouse is akin to a sanctuary than an institution.
Step into the Clubhouse and you’ll notice the difference immediately — the soft sound of children laughing, the earthy scent of the outdoors, the absence of flickering screens. Here, Kitakids Clubhouse takes a firm but gentle stand: no gadgets. Instead, they get their hands dirty in the garden, dive into books, tinker with art, or engage in role-play and games that stretch the imagination.
“Children need connection, not just entertainment,” says Deepti. “We use every moment meaningfully. Even snack time becomes a chance to foster independence and responsibility.”
Meals are lovingly prepared in-house. Children serve themselves, eat together along with their teachers—building a sense of community and belonging. Nutritional standards are high: fresh, balanced, and varied, with minimal fried or sugary foods.
As feel-good as Kitakids are, it’s also academically sound. With a low teacher-to-student ratio and a stringent hiring process, children here receive high-quality, individualised attention.
All Kitakids teachers and staff are qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, and are passionate professionals who undergo regular training to give their best to your children.
Deepti Gonsalves has been with Kitakids for over a decade, bringing with her international experience, a passion for innovation, and a deep love for children. “Here, we are like a family,” she says with warmth. “We know our children. We’ve seen some of them from the time they were babies—and now they’re 9, and still coming back to the Clubhouse after school.”
Many of the Clubhouse’s enrolments come through word of mouth, a powerful testament to its trustworthiness. Parents know that their children are not just looked after—they are known, understood, and cherished. Therefore, the most heartwarming aspect of Kitakids Clubhouse is the trust it has earned through authentic relationships.
In a fast-paced world where a daycare can often feel impersonal and rushed, Kitakids Clubhouse stands out as a loving, personalised, high-quality after-school programme centre. It’s the kind of place where children thrive, parents feel heard, and families stay connected.
Deepti reflects. “We are building a bridge — a beautiful one — that supports the entire family.”
For parents seeking something more meaningful for their children than just tuition or babysitting, Kitakids Clubhouse is the answer. And for children, it’s a place they call their own — a second home, a secret garden, and a heartwarming chapter of their childhood they’ll always remember.
As one little alumnus recently said: “This is still my favourite place.”
