With over 20 years of serving children and families since 1996, KinderJoy is one of the largest and leading one-stop early childhood education centres in Malaysia. KinderJoy not only provides fundamental education for young children in their early years but also helps them to build and develop themselves holistically to become well-rounded individuals and thus laying a solid foundation for lifelong learning.
KinderJoy offers a Comprehensive Thematic Learning Programme to children ages 18 months to 6 years old, that have been developed in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Malaysian National Preschool Curriculum.
Over the years, KinderJoy has produced more than 4000 graduates who are now successful individuals in their respective fields and is currently nurturing its second generation of students i.e. children of its Alumni.
Early Childhood Education plays the most crucial role in a child's overall development because it is the foundation of all levels of education. The first steps of a child outside of their homes and into a preschool or kindergarten are the most crucial transition for both the child and the parent. Kindergartens and preschools play an important role in providing a safe and secure setting in the form of reliable teachers and a hygienic and conducive environment. KinderJoy strives to ensure that their centres are properly equipped to maximise the quality of education each child receives, enabling parents to put their trust in its network of schools.
Apart from abiding by the guidelines of the Malaysian National Preschool Curriculum, Kinderjoy's strategy of teaching is to teach with joy through purpose-based learning activities. Each learning activity has been strategically designed with an objective, instilling lifelong learning experiences and equipping every child from their early years with the necessary set of skills required for their later years in life.
From indoor and outdoor activities to textbooks, practical experiences and hands-on tasks, KinderJoy utilises a variety of theme-based projects to enhance learning in classes. Some examples include observing the hatching of chicks, scientific experiments that involve brainstorming, motor-skill developmental activities and much more. KinderJoy believes these activities play a significant role in developing a child's whole being; Cognitive, Language, Physical & Aesthetic and Moral & Social, which are the core developmental areas of a child in KinderJoy's curriculum.
The school uses the Cambridge English Programme to ensure children are well-versed in the language. During these lessons, captivating course materials are used to help children improve and master their English language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking. It is not about simply memorising words but to use the communicative method to teach children how to think and express themselves confidently in English. The whole learning experience is enjoyable and most definitely effective.
KinderJoy's children have participated in various competitions and have emerged triumphant, even with less preparation. The key to success is not only in the amount of practice but also the ability to adapt when a situation calls for it. Exposure to such situations encourages children to be brave, to adapt quickly and also to have good sportsmanship. Activities such as annual concerts, sports day, excursions and public performances have positively impacted them as well.
KinderJoy's Milestones and 21st Century Learning Approach
A multi-award-winning preschool, KinderJoy has achieved many milestones over the years. Today, KinderJoy has expanded to few other locations: a neighbouring branch at Botani (Ipoh) and its Klang Valley branches are located at Kota Damansara, Bukit Jalil City as well as Sunway Geo. It's flagship school in Ipoh, a purpose-built building with a land size of 1.6 acres which contains an auditorium, houses around 500 students and remains one of the largest early years centres in the country.
KinderJoy holds classes for ages 18 months - 2 years old (Playgroup), 3 years old (Nursery) and 4 - 6 years old (Kindergarten). They also provide enrichment programmes as well as care services, catering to children according to their age groups.
It is a KinderJoy philosophy that every child must be respected and valued as an individual, and be given equal opportunities to develop to their full potential, through carefully structured programmes in a fun, constructive and supportive environment.
Apart from expanding to different regions of the country, KinderJoy has won many awards and collaborated with established brands such as Standard Chartered Bank, which created a "mock bank" at the school's premise to educate young children on the basis of savings and engaging them in various role plays such as a bank manager, bank teller, bank support staff and even bank customers.
One of their more prestigious awards was the "Asia Pacific Top Excellence Brand 2019 and 2020" and not to mention, KinderJoy has also achieved 'Model Kindergarten' status awarded by the Perak Education Department and have collaborated with Wawasan Open University in support of the Ministry of Education's initiatives to raise the overall standards of all early childhood educators in the country.
Entering the 21st century and catering to the requirements of its globalisation, KinderJoy classes strongly focus on developing every child with a full set of 21st century skills. With an unknown future and many competitive challenges ahead, it is necessary that our children be equipped with such skills to be adaptable to the changes of tomorrow. Skills such as Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Creativity, Inquisitive and Imaginative Minds, Communication Skills, Teamwork and Collaboration and much more are essential.

KinderJoy also pays significant attention to the professionalism and quality of its academic team and requires that their teachers are constantly upgraded and equipped with proper training to conduct quality classes in order to produce good students.
