Tadika Pelita Ilmuku (TPI) is an early childhood education centre in Jenjarom, Selangor, dedicated to nurturing children with strong foundations in language, academics, confidence, character and school readiness.

TPI was established with a clear purpose: to provide children with a strong English-speaking environment from an early age. Our approach was shaped by observing academically capable students who later faced challenges with English communication, presentation skills and confidence in expressing their ideas. This strengthened our belief that communication skills and confidence should be developed from early childhood alongside academic foundations.

Our Educational Philosophy

Our philosophy centres on developing the whole child. We believe children learn best in a safe, caring, engaging and supportive environment where they are encouraged to explore, communicate, think and grow with confidence.

Our Learning & Teaching Approach

TPI provides a comprehensive learning environment with structured programmes in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, Mathematics and Science. Our programmes combine established learning programmes with creative teaching approaches, enrichment resources, technology, play-based learning and hands-on activities.

English is used as the main communication medium, giving children regular opportunities to listen, understand, speak and communicate confidently. We also place strong emphasis on multilingual word recognition and vocabulary development in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese, supporting early literacy and reading readiness.

Our structured English programme progressively develops vocabulary, listening, speaking, phonics, reading and writing skills. Teachers use a blended approach that incorporates multimedia, smart-board activities, play, hands-on experiences, interactive lessons and effective traditional teaching methods.

We recognise that every child learns differently. Therefore, teachers present concepts in different ways and adapt activities according to children’s strengths, abilities and learning needs. Teachers also develop additional enrichment books, exercises and activities to reinforce concepts and extend learning.

Regular progress monitoring helps us identify children’s strengths, learning gaps and areas requiring additional support. Selected subjects are supported by teachers with relevant strengths and expertise, allowing children to receive more focused guidance.
