KUALA LUMPUR, 8 JUNE 2026 – Kuala Lumpur was transformed into a city-sized playground during the school holidays as the LEGO MY Play Festival brought the iconic Suria KLCC precinct to life from 21 May to 7 June 2026. Bringing together immersive builds, larger-than-life installations, interactive play zones, and Southeast Asia’s first-ever Suria KLCC x LEGO “Play Run 2026”, the festival marked Malaysia’s biggest LEGO celebration to date, inviting families of all ages to rediscover the joy of hands-on play.
Designed as a large-scale interactive experience for children and adults alike, the festival reflected The LEGO Group’s belief in the power of play beyond the screen. In collaboration with Suria KLCC, the festival was also integrated into the mall’s annual mental and physical well-being initiative, combining active family experiences with the return of its signature “Safe Space” programme to highlight how creativity, movement, and community support contribute to overall wellness.
With play increasingly shifting towards digital spaces, the LEGO MY Play Festival encouraged families to reconnect through shared real-world experiences. Through collaborative building activities, imaginative storytelling and active play, the festival created meaningful opportunities for children and adults to build memories together while celebrating creativity in all its forms.

The City’s Ultimate Playground
Spanning multiple locations across the Suria KLCC precinct, the LEGO MY Play Festival featured large-scale interactive play zones inspired by fantasy worlds, iconic city sights, and imaginative storytelling, creating an immersive experience for visitors throughout the festival.
Suria KLCC Centre Court: Discover Kuala Lumpur, the LEGO Way
At the heart of the festival, visitors were greeted by a spectacular LEGO-inspired recreation of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline, anchored by a large-scale centrepiece of the Petronas Twin Towers. The display was complemented by familiar landmarks including KL Tower, Merdeka 118, and Merdeka Square, alongside playful LEGO food stalls inspired by Malaysia’s vibrant pasar malam culture.
Among the standout attractions were the first-ever 3D LEGO build of a teh tarik seller captured mid-pour and an intricately crafted LEGO durian seller, celebrating beloved local icons through the creativity of LEGO bricks.
Beyond the skyline, families stepped into four immersive themed experiences inspired by LEGO Friends, LEGO NINJAGO, LEGO Creator and LEGO City, each offering hands-on activities that encouraged children to imagine, build and play.
- The LEGO Friends Experience, inspired by the 42676 Fun At The Waterpark set, delighted visitors with a life-sized slide leading into a ball pit “splash zone”, a spinning fountain-style merry-go-round, and a hands-on brick pit where children searched for hidden LEGO animals.
- Inspired by the 71866 Ninja Character Display set, the LEGO NINJAGO Experience invited aspiring ninjas to explore a striking monastery photo spot, discover a tranquil tea room, and take part in interactive battles using LEGO minifigures and spinners.
- Meanwhile, the LEGO Creator Experience transformed the space into a colourful carnival anchored by a rotating Ferris wheel model from the 31139 Iconic Ferris Wheel Complete with lights, movement and playful displays, the experience also encouraged children to build and showcase imaginative LEGO ice cream creations.
- The LEGO City Experience, inspired by the 60496 Pizza Delivery Service set, recreated a bustling pizza factory where children crafted their own LEGO pizzas using colourful brick “ingredients” and as many imaginative toppings as they could dream up.
Adding another memorable touch to the festival was the dedicated LEGO Minifigure Converter zone. In this first-of-its-kind experience, visitors snapped a photo of themselves and generated personalised digital LEGO minifigures against the festival’s signature backdrop, creating a unique keepsake to remember their visit.
Esplanade, KLCC Park: The LEGO Football Play Arena
At the Esplanade, KLCC Park, football fans stepped into a stadium-inspired LEGO Football Play Arena that brought the excitement of match day to life. From recreating the iconic tunnel walk to experiencing immersive stadium lighting and crowd ambience, the outdoor activation combined the passion of football with the creativity of LEGO play.
Inspired by the excitement surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the experience invited visitors of all ages to enjoy interactive activities including a Make & Take LEGO Trophy, Human Foosball, and multiple photo opportunities featuring an 8-foot LEGO football inspired by the 43019 Football set. Also on display was a FIFA World Cup™ Official Trophy model inspired by the 43020 FIFA World Cup™ Official Trophy set, alongside newly launched LEGO sets celebrating global football icons including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Vini Jr.
Collect, Explore and Complete Your LEGO Mission
Families enhanced their festival experience with a LEGO Mission Card, embarking on a fun-filled adventure across five activity zones spanning the Centre Court and Esplanade. As they completed challenges and collected stamps, visitors unlocked exclusive rewards while discovering every corner of the festival through play, creativity and exploration.
Suria KLCC x LEGO “Play Run 2026”
A major highlight of the festival was the Southeast Asian debut of the Suria KLCC x LEGO “Play Run 2026”, which introduced an entirely new dimension of active family play to KLCC Park on 6 June 2026. Combining movement, creativity and interactive storytelling, the 2km family-friendly run guided participants through a series of playful obstacles and interactive “play-stops”, each designed to inspire imagination while encouraging families to stay active together.
Participants received exclusive LEGO-themed run kits featuring a commemorative T-shirt, drawstring bag, water bottle, sports towel and an exclusive Suria KLCC x LEGO “Play Run 2026” Finisher Medal, making the experience even more memorable.
Beyond the track, the Esplanade was transformed into a lively activation zone in collaboration with Suria KLCC’s retail partners. Families enjoyed interactive installations, beauty and wellness workshops, engaging activities, and food and beverage redemptions, creating a wholesome day out that extended beyond the run itself.
The celebrations culminated in a spectacular LEGO-themed projection on the façade of Suria KLCC on 6 and 7 June, providing a fitting finale to Malaysia’s biggest LEGO celebration.
Supporting Wellness Beyond Play
Complementing the festival’s focus on creativity and active lifestyles was the return of Suria KLCC’s signature “Safe Space” initiative, held from 25 May to 7 June at the Park Mall Entrance.
In partnership with mental health organisations MIASA, MMHA, NYAWA and Befrienders KL, the initiative featured workshops and community activations that encouraged meaningful conversations around mental well-being. Together with the festival’s emphasis on physical play, the programme reinforced the importance of nurturing both body and mind while creating a supportive environment for families and the wider community.
From immersive cityscapes and imaginative build zones to football-inspired adventures and family-friendly outdoor activities, the LEGO MY Play Festival delivered an unforgettable celebration of creativity, connection and play. Throughout the festival, families, LEGO fans and visitors from across the region came together at the heart of Kuala Lumpur to experience Malaysia’s largest LEGO activation, creating lasting memories while celebrating the joy of building and playing together.
