Overall, this is a very good Montessori preschool.
The school places strong emphasis on children’s independence, which I believe is extremely important—especially for children growing up in today’s world. Developing independence and independent thinking from a young age is often far more valuable than academic results alone.
My daughter joined the school at the age of three. At that time, she had been overly taken care of by her nanny. She couldn’t go to the toilet independently and still needed to wear diapers, couldn’t feed herself and had to be spoon-fed, and was very picky with food—she refused meat and vegetables, only drank milk, and would only eat soft foods.
In just three short years, I’ve seen remarkable progress in her. These changes did not happen overnight, but they happened naturally and steadily.
What I also really appreciate is that the school teaches all children—both girls and boys—that everyone has responsibilities. Children learn to wash their own dishes, clean tables, sweep and mop the floor, and as they grow older, they are taught how to care for younger children. It almost feels like a “Harry Potter school” environment, where older students guide and look after the younger ones.
In many ways, this preschool is especially suitable for boys.
In earlier generations, many families treated boys like treasures, believing that household responsibilities should fall solely on girls. As a result, many boys grew up without learning responsibility, initiative, or the importance of helping others.
This preschool breaks that pattern. It teaches children what cooperation truly means, how to take care of themselves, and how to take initiative. Learning by doing—using their own hands and making their own efforts—is always the fastest and most effective way for children to grow.
Have faith and be patience parent. Your child will learn and grow by correct guidance.
Johan, I know Im not an easy mom to deal with. Especially Im too focus on details. Truly appreciate all your effort and I sincerely hope you will be doing better and better and achieve excellent result in education field in more upcoming years.
A preschool that focuses strongly on hands-on activities and children’s personal growth. The teachers are caring and supportive, making learning fun and engaging. development. The teachers always helping each child grow in confidence, independence and social skills in a warm learning environment.
We absolutely love Johan Preschool! From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and supported. The teachers are truly lovely — caring, patient, and genuinely attentive to each child’s needs. They've created such a nurturing environment where my son feels safe, happy, and excited to go every day.
What we appreciate most is how hands-on and engaging the learning experience is. The children are always involved in fun, creative activities that make learning come alive. Whether it’s outdoor play, art projects, there's never a dull moment. It's clear the teachers put a lot of heart into everything they do.
Thanks to Johan Preschool. We're so grateful to have found this place — it’s been a truly wonderful start to his educational journey.
first time experiencing messy play with my 20 months old son at here! Great experience! Teachers here are all very helpful and patience
This is a learning by doing school. The activities in school are awesome, they get to do messy play a lot, learning basic chores too like folding clothes, how to sweep the floor, wipe table and clean dishes. My kids come home with these skills and I am impressed. The teacher lets children make craft from readily resources like tree leaves. They are introduced to the hatching of chickens and the growth cycle of frogs, butterfly etc. My kids are not afraid of these animals and they are friendly to insects, because they are so used to it. My girl improves their drawing skills a lot too, I can feel that they are given lots of freedom and encouraged to be imaginative and creative when composing their art. All in all, totally recommend this school if you would like your kids to experience "life" and growing confidence from being able to compose art, sing songs, dancing and perform tasks on so many things by themselves.
It was the first time I brought my daughter to participate in messy play. The environment was clean and my daughter had a lot of fun.
Lot of fun activities, teachers are very patient, thank you!
The teacher was great, and the children had a lot of fun.
Brought my son to experienced messy play at Johan. He seems excited and enjoyed the activities.
I have two children at this school. My older child has been attending for two or three years now. Actually, I looked at many other schools, but none of them were what I wanted. Besides academics, a happy childhood is also important for children, and I really like this school. In addition to academics, there are many outdoor activities, and the teachers are patient. They also have the children participate in activities for holidays. Surprisingly, they even have activities for the children during the Water Splashing Festival, as well as messy play. I let my children participate in all of these. They also teach the children to help with everyday tasks. It's a very good school.
This is definitely the best play school ever around Bukit Tinggi Klang which make my kids happy going school everyday! lots of hands on activity for the children and they learn lifely knowledge instead of only ABC 123. of course they do cover reading n writing according to the syllabus.
Teachers are lovely n caring where they really take care the children in terms of physical and emotional. food served are variety and kids learn not to be choosy anymore.
