Now, attention spans are shrinking and academic pressure is skyrocketing, one centre in Kota Damansara is offering a revolutionary solution—real brain training, backed by neuroscience and global research. Meet Mind Crafters, a cutting-edge cognitive training centre founded in 2025, determined to reshape how we think about learning, development, and the human mind.
Unlike traditional enrichment centres that focus on tutoring academic subjects like Math and English, Mind Crafters is Malaysia’s first truly specialised brain training centre. Their mission is bold yet simple: to help people of all ages enhance their brain’s performance by strengthening seven core cognitive skills—attention, working memory, long-term memory, processing speed, visual processing, auditory processing, and logic & reasoning.
“We don’t teach Math or English,” says Natalie See, co-founder and Principal of Mind Crafters. “We train the brain. Just like you go to the gym to strengthen your body, here, you work out your brain. That’s what we are—a brain gym.”
The highlight is their one-to-one personalised approach. Every student who steps in begins with a comprehensive cognitive skills assessment from the Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research (USA)—an organisation known for its scientific rigor in brain research. This test pinpoints the individual’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, allowing trainers to tailor a customised programme that targets exactly what each student needs to improve.
“No two brains are the same,” says Natalie. “We craft every training session based on the person’s cognitive profile. That’s why our programme is so effective.”
The training can be 1.5-2 hours, 3-4 times a week, minimum of 72 – 96 hours, depending on student’s needs. Mid-term and final reviews track progress, with measurable improvements often seen in attention span, memory, and processing speed. This isn’t a centre where children play to learn—it’s where they come to transform their cognitive capabilities.
Backed by decades of research and programmes licensed from the USA, Mind Crafters offers a level of scientific credibility that’s rare in Malaysia’s enrichment landscape. Their core methodology is based on research from the Gibson Institute of Cognitive Research, and their tools and systems are continuously tested and improved.
Yet behind the science lies a centre full of heart. Co-founders & principals Natalie See, who holds a BSc in Neuroscience and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, and Chia Shau Yen with BSc in Psychology and Master of Education (Early Childhood) started Mind Crafters because of their deep-rooted belief in helping those who feel lost, overlooked, or helpless in a world that demands academic excellence.
“I once worked with a non-verbal child on the autism spectrum,” Natalie shares. “After consistent training, he could finally articulate his emotions. From screams and grunts to forming actual conversations—it was one of the most meaningful moments in my career.”
Mind Crafters welcomes a wide range of learners, from struggling schoolchildren to seniors facing cognitive decline. “We’ve worked with students with ADHD, autism, learning difficulties—even gifted children who feel bored in regular classrooms,” explains Natalie. “We’ve even had a 68-year-old with Alzheimer’s undergo training to stimulate brain function.”
Younger learners, particularly those under age five, can start with the Mind Crafters Enhancement Programme, a preparatory course that builds foundational brain skills and primes them for future training. Whereas, older students often take part in the advanced BrainRx programme. Be it a child struggling with reading, a teenager needing better focus for school, or an adult wanting to keep their mind sharp—Mind Crafters is ready.
What makes Mind Crafters so compelling is not just their methodology, but the results they deliver. Parents are given clear, scientific data before and after the programme, showing exactly how much their child’s cognitive abilities have improved.
“There was a child who used to rely solely on rote memory to survive in school,” Natalie recalls. “After our programme, his other cognitive skills—like logic & reasoning, attention, processing speed, and auditory processing—improved significantly, and his confidence soared. That’s what we love to see.”
Each session is like a mental workout. Students are challenged, pushed, and coached to go beyond their limits. “We’re result-oriented,” Natalie affirms. “Just like a personal trainer might say ‘5 more push-ups,’ we keep pushing for more. Because we know the brain grows stronger under the right pressure.”
One of the biggest challenges Mind Crafters faces is being misunderstood. Many parents assume it’s just another tuition centre. Others expect instant academic results without understanding how deep cognitive transformation works.
“We’re not therapists, and we don’t diagnose,” Natalie clarifies. “But we do see students with undiagnosed learning difficulties—some who can’t even sit still for five seconds. Here, we work with them to build that attention span, second by second. And we do it in a safe, structured, and non-invasive way.”
The team at Mind Crafters wants to change the narrative around cognitive development. “We’re not fixing the brain. We’re enhancing the mind,” she adds “True growth goes beyond grades—our training nurtures focus, discipline, and grit that shape a child’s confidence in every area of life. Parents may come seeking academic change, but they leave seeing a brighter, sharper, and more motivated child.”
With increasing demand and limited capacity at their Kota Damansara centre, Mind Crafters is already looking to expand. “We want to branch out to Shah Alam, KL, and beyond,” Natalie says. “It’s about giving more families access to real, effective brain training.”
The team is also committed to hiring and developing top talent. Trainers are required to have a degree, preferably in early childhood or psychology, and must undergo tests and continuous training themselves. “You have to be cognitively sharp to train others,” Natalie notes.
In a world where children are bombarded with screen time and fast-moving content, Mind Crafters provides a much-needed space to slow down, strengthen, and stimulate the brain.
“We’re not just improving grades. We’re building confidence, self-esteem, and lifelong abilities,” says Natalie. “We’re helping children and adults become the best versions of themselves.”
Mind Crafters isn’t just a brain training centre. It’s a movement—one that’s raising the bar for cognitive development in Malaysia. Don’t wait for change, create it. Give your child the gift of focus and confidence for life. Contact Mind Crafters today!
