Job Description:

Work with children aged 2-4. Activities you plan and carry out must meet the requirements of the early years foundation stage. Your aim is to motivate children and imaginatively use resources to help them learn. You'll provide a safe and secure environment for them to develop their social and communication skills, while recording observations and summarising their achievements.

You should be focused on the development of the child to prepare them for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Motivate and stimulate a child's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience.
2. Assist with the development of a child's personal, social, language and physical coordination abilities.
3. Develop and produce visual aids and teaching resources.
4. Implementing lessons and work schemes, using the Smart Reader Kids training as a framework.
5. To monitor children’s progress, keep meaningful records and evaluate performance through formative assessments in line with school policy.
7. Ensure the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities.
8. keep up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practice.
9. Providing a safe and stimulating environment that facilitates learning.
10. To promote positive behaviour from children and to assist in establishing good standards of behaviour throughout the nursery.
11. To contribute to effective team practice by attending and participating in staff meetings and in-service training.
12. To maintain high levels of confidentiality both in and out of school.
13. Established routines and provide positive guidance.
14. Plan and implement potty-trained program.
15. Clean and disinfect toys and learning materials.

Job Requirements:

1) A respect and fondness for children.
2) Excellent communication and listening skills.
3) Good organisational skills to plan the children's day and respond to children's different needs.
4) The ability to inspire and enthuse young children energy, resourcefulness, responsibility, patience and a caring nature.
5) An understanding of the needs and feelings of children.
6) Ability to work independently with children, as well as being able to work in the wider nursery/school team.
7) A sense of humour and the ability to keep things in perspective.

Salary Range:

RM 1,600 - RM 2,000
